Swathi and Kunal's Beautiful Babymoon Beach Session

I had the pleasure of capturing a special experience for Swathi and Kunal as they prepared for the arrival of their baby boy. Babymoon sessions are quickly becoming one of my favorite types of shoots—there's just something about that peaceful, dreamy anticipation that makes these sessions so magical.

Swathi looked absolutely radiant in a cute, two-piece white outfit—a long wrap skirt and a matching top that showed off her adorable baby bump. She accessorized with delicate jewelry, including a necklace, earrings, and—my favorite touch—a swimsuit with charms that dangled below her top, featuring tiny diamonds, seashells, and starfish. It was such a creative and thoughtful addition that gave her look an extra special touch.

Kunal kept his look relaxed in a white button-up and khaki shorts, which paired perfectly with Swathi’s beachy vibe. Together, their outfits created this effortless, beach chic style that felt in sync with the beautiful beach setting.

We started their session shortly after sunrise, when the light was soft and glowy—one of my favorite times to shoot. The beach felt serene and calm, with the golden hues from the early morning sun reflecting off the water. It gave everything that warm, peaceful feel that’s perfect for a session like this.

From the moment we began, Swathi and Kunal were such a joy to work with. Swathi had a clear vision for the session, describing the vibe as simple, romantic, mindful, and minimal. We spent close to two hours capturing everything from sweet moments of them walking hand-in-hand along the shore, to playful cuddles and spontaneous dancing on the sand. The whole session felt natural and full of love. By the end, we had a gallery full of timeless moments that felt real and authentic.

Toward the end of the session, Swathi slipped into the ocean for some solo shots in her swimsuit. There’s something incredibly freeing about being in the water, and it added such a dreamy element to the final photos. These were some of my favorite shots—capturing her strength and beauty as she embraced the water and this special moment in her life.

One of the things I love most is helping women feel empowered and beautiful, especially during pregnancy. It’s such a powerful time, and I always want my clients to feel like the queens they are. Swathi was a total goddess, and I’m so grateful she trusted me to capture this chapter of her story.

Swathi was also sweet enough to leave me this kind review:

Chelsea has an amazing skill of making you feel so comfortable in your own skin. She is so creative and, given the opportunity, you can trust that she will produce such beautiful, tasteful, and elegant photos. I’m so thankful and lucky to have come across her during my time in Maui and for her to take my maternity pictures. You will not regret it—she seriously is amazing!

Babymoon Outfit Tips:

Swathi’s outfit was the perfect example of how to stay comfortable while looking effortlessly chic. If you’re planning a babymoon session, here are a few tips:

  • Keep it Simple: Choose something that lets you move freely and shows off your beautiful baby bump, just like Swathi’s gorgeous wrap set.

  • Accessorize: Whether it’s dainty jewelry or a fun, beachy touch like Swathi’s swimsuit charms, little details can make all the difference.

  • Coordinate with Your Partner: Kunal’s relaxed look was a great complement to Swathi’s, showing how you can coordinate without being too matchy-matchy. It’s always a good idea to plan outfits that go well together!

Babymoon sessions are such a beautiful way to capture the calm before the excitement of a new baby. These moments are fleeting, but the memories you create will last forever. I absolutely love helping couples savor this time through creative, immersive photoshoots like this. I can’t wait to continue offering dreamy beach sessions in my new home of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, where I’ll be bringing all the same storytelling energy!
