Chef Seonkyoung Longest | Wailuku, Hawaii

Seonkyoung Longest eating noodles

I've had the privilege of photographing Seonkyoung Longest on multiple occasions, and each time has been an absolute delight. Her infectious smile and warm demeanor make her a joy to be around.

Equally charming is her husband, Jacob. I had the pleasure of meeting him and photographing these two together, and their love radiates through these photos! It’s so fun getting to capture these little moments of couples I get to work with. It’s hard to not find yourself smiling while editing them.

I had the pleasure of being invited to their enchanting home in Wailuku, perched atop a hill, offering breathtaking views that added a magical touch to our photo sessions. While Seonkyoung and Jacob were among some of my initial clients, their unwavering trust in me allowed me to create some of my favorite images to date.

For those unacquainted with Seonkyoung Longest, especially if you're a food enthusiast who relishes homemade Asian cuisine, I highly recommend exploring her culinary work. As an exceptional chef with a treasure trove of both carnivore and plant-based recipes, her website SeonkyoungLongest.com is a food-lover’s haven. I was honored to have my image grace the cover of her cookbook – Eat The Good Life.

An absolute dream come true!

Beyond being every photographer’s dream, Seonkyoung's home is a literal paradise! The picturesque surroundings include a vibrant garden where she cultivates an array of herbs, fruits, and vegetables for her mouth-watering recipes. Her ducks, eager for attention, follow her around, adding a fairytale charm to the entire experience.
